How to join 
If you would like to attend the Day Centre, either as a change or for company for yourself or to give your carer some time off, there are two ways you can join.
 
Referral and Acceptance by Care Direct
Ring the Day Centre on 01409 259935 or 0782 5807812 (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays)
for further advice on how to apply to Care Direct or ask your health visitor, doctor, neighbour or friend to contact Care Direct for you.



Whichever way the referral comes, it is Care Direct who will assess your needs and will decide if you qualify to attend. 
 
For those who also qualify for transport, a door-to-door service is provided.
The adapted Devon County Council bus enables access for wheelchairs and those with mobility needs to fully access the amenities of the Day Centre.

Attendance on a Private Basis
Whilst the majority of Holsworthy Day Centre clients attend through a referral we have clients who have joined us on a private basis.
This could be because they don’t meet or are unlikely to meet to the criteria set out by Care Direct or they are existing clients who just want to join us for an extra day.
  
In such cases a charge is made per day or part day with various session lengths available by mutual agreement. A client attending on a private basis would need to arrange their own transport to and from the Centre.
